Lead vocalist 류인혁 (Inhyuk Ryu) and drummer 이지원 (Jiwon Lee) started 18 Gram back in 2010. At that time they were playing in Eastern Sidekick and Small O respectively and met while using the same practice space. Naturally, they started to hang out and became friends. Neither were the frontmen of their respective bands and both shared similar interests and hobbies. They wanted to make their own music, independant of the bands they played in and so they decided to start a project band together. Originally that band was called 류타 (Ryuta). After about 4 years of playing as Ryuta they met the lead guitarist of Fantastic Drugstore 이형욱 (HyoungWook Lee) and then through him, were introduced to his friend and now their bass player 고상현 (Sang-Hyun Ko). The 4 of them changed the bands name and 18 Gram was born,

18 Grams debut album has 11 tracks which were almost all improvised jam sessions. As a result of their lyrical melody and unique strong & rough sound there has been a lot of anticipation for this this band’s debut release. The band will be holding a release party to celebrate the release of the new album on 6th Feb (see below for more information)
