‘Team New Generation of Ska’ (TNGOS) is the name of the team who run an independent Ska only festival called 'New Generation of Ska' (NGOS). NGOS was first started by the band 'Skasucks' in collobration with several other local acts way back in 2006. Initially the show was just a club show, but it has grown to be so much more. Last year even saw a couple of Japanese bands take the trip over to Korea to join the party. 2014’s NGOS is poised to be the biggest version of the show yet. It is scheduled to take place on the 30th August in Shinchon’s 'Munwha Geori (The Street of Culture) (near by Yonsei University).
The festival will be a street festival that is free for everyone to attend. However, these things don’t come cheap to set up so the TNGOS team have turned to crowdfunding to help keep the dream alive. You can help support these guys set up a great ska festival by heading on over to tumblebug : https://www.tumblbug.com/ko/ngoskafest. In return for donating some of your hard (or not so hard) earned cash, there are loads of cool incentives on offer (from band merch to jewelry and even vocal lessons).
