South By Southwest Festival (SXSW) is an annual festival that showcases the best in musical talent from around the globe. This year over 2000 artists will be performing across 100 + venues to more than 30,000 concert goers. SXSW takes place in Austin, Texas (America) and this year the music side of things will be running from March 11th - March 16th. In 2013 eleven bands from Korea made the trip over to SXSW … This year Korea is going one better and will be represented by 15 bands / musicians. The Korean bands / artists who have been invited to strut their stuff at the words biggest showcase are YB, Crying Nut, No Brain, Jang Kiha & The Faces, Nell, Rock 'N' Roll Radio, Glen Check, Idiotape, Jambinai, Hollow Jan, Big Phoney, Smacksoft, Love X Stereo, Jay Park & Hyun A.
If you are lucky enough to be at SXSW this year, make sure you go and watch all the bands perform. Some of them will also be going on to tour the U.S. Keep your eyes on doindie for news of those tours as soon as they are announced.
